Call for Papers

5th NSCA International Conference highly welcomes submissions from all over the world!
Those who are working in the field of Strength & Conditioning (S&C) or Personal Training, are invited to present an oral or poster presentation on any of the selected topics in the Conference. Please submit your abstract via online submission form based on the guideline below.

Application Conditions

  • 1)  The presentation should be about Strength & Conditioning (S&C) or Personal Training, and also should not be presented or opened to public before.
    (Regardless of being a member of NSCA, you can submit an abstract.)
  • 2)  You can submit only one abstract as the first author. (But you can be a co-author more than two presentations.)
  • 3)  If attending only your own presentation, you do not need to register for the conference.
    For the presenter badge, please let Registration Office know if you attend the conference only for your own presentation.
    *Co-author also can attend without registration for the conference if attending his/her own presentation. Please also let Registration Office know about it.
  • 4)  However, if joining the other presentations or sessions, you must complete the conference registration and make payment from [Registration] page.

Abstract Submission Deadline 23:59, July 1st  23:59, July 29th, 2016 (JST, Japanese Standard Time)

* Please complete the submission procedure long before the deadline, because the online system will be crowded and it will be hard to access it just before the deadline.

Type of Presentation

Please select either Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation.
Organizer will allocate your abstracts to either oral or poster presentation based on your preference and its contents.
Please note that your abstracts might be allocated to the other category than your preference because presentation time slots are limited.

* Language used in the abstract should be also used in the actual presentation. If you write an abstract in English, presentation should be made in English.

How to Submit Abstracts

Please download an example of the abstract available in this page, and prepare an abstract in English. Please submit it via the online submission form.

Abstract Preparation
  • 1)  Please download an example of the abstract available in this page.
  • 2)  Please write an abstract about “1-A. Research Report” or “1-B. Case Report”.
  • 3)  Abstract should be written in English, Times New Roman style, in accordance with the example.
  • 4)  Abstract must be contained in one page. Please do not change the margin and other settings of the example.
  • 5)  Abstract cannot contain any figures.
  • 6)  Abstract should be prepared as Microsoft Word file (docx. or doc. file), and submitted via online submission form.
Abstract Format
Format 1: Research Report / Case Report (Oral or Poster Presentations)
1-A. Research Report Report contents and styles must be based on existing scientific methodology. Reports must include the following captions; “Introduction” “Methods” “Results” “Discussion”, and “Practical Applications”. 1-B. Case Report Contents must be technical and methodological information that should be useful for strength and conditioning or personal training practice. They also need to include implementation records of exercise programs or results of exercise prescriptions for specific subjects. Besides, report must include objective data and must use the following captions; “Introduction” “Methods” “Results” “Discussion”, and “Practical Applications”.

    If you use other codes written above, your submission cannot be received by the system. Please be careful to check whether your submission can use codes correctly before submission.
  • 3)  Please do NOT use special characters.
Revision or Cancelling Submission

You can check or revise your abstract in your submission page until the submission deadline. Submission page URL, Login ID, Login Pass and Event ID will be automatically sent to you after submission. If no response is made within 24 hours after submission, please contact the Abstract Submission Office.
If you need to cancel the submission, please contact Abstract Submission Office with email.

Presentation Guideline

The detail will be announced in “Presentation Guideline” available when the conference becomes much closer.

Oral Presentation
  • 1)  Oral Presentation will be made in digital presentations using one LCD projector. Please prepare your presentation slides with Microsoft Powerpoint 2007, 2010 or 2013.
  • 2)  In case you will make slides by Mac PC or you will use movies in presentation, please bring your own laptop, in order to avoid unexpected equipment troubles.
  • 3)  Please be sure to bring the AC adapter of your PC, if you bring your own laptop.
    If you bring Mac PC or thin laptops, you may need to bring a conversion adapter for VGA cable.
  • 4) Your presentation slides will be collected in the conference venue, and not collected in advance.
Poster Presentation
  • 1)  The size of poster boards will be H210cm x W90cm.
  • 2)  Please make a presentation and discussion with audience during the presentation time.

Publication in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research

Accepted about “Research Report / Case Report” can be published in the “Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research” issued by NSCA America, after the conference.
*The Journal would not be published if we cannot get a certain number of abstracts.

Acceptance Notices

The acceptance notices of abstracts will be notified to the corresponding authors with email by the end of October 2016.
